History Lit: A Festival of Timeless Stories

July 29, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$40 – $60

History-Lit-16-Key-Art-For-WebAfter a four year hiatus, History Lit: A Festival of Timeless Stories will return to  Pasadena Museum of History for 13 performances this summer. In the style of WICKED LIT, HISTORY LIT will feature three fully-produced plays inside and around three unique PMH locations: the intimate Curtin House, throughout the lush gardens all around the Fenyes Mansion, and new for 2016, inside the Museum’s exhibition halls where the exhibit Flying Horses and Mythical Beasts: The Magical World of Carousels is currently installed.

The three plays create an evening-long, moving, immersive theater event:

Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Two Pictures In One
adapted by Paul Millet

Katherine Mansfield’s The Garden Party
adapted by Jonathan Josephson, directed by Aurora Long

L. Frank Baum’s The Girl Who Owned A Bear
adapted by Jonathan Josephson, directed by Paul Millet
