Bert J. (Hans) Davidson, physician and Executive Director of the Southern California Medical Museum, will present an illustrated lecture on the medical care administered during the Civil War before the development of modern evidence-based medicine. Overwhelmed by infectious diseases, lack of trained doctors and supplies, and without a concept of hygiene, soldiers faced a high mortality rate both on and off the battlefield.

Event ticket includes admission to the exhibition galleries before or after the lecture (doors open at 6:00 pm) and a complimentary reception. Tickets may be purchased online at the link below.
