27th Annual Museums of the Arroyo (MOTA) Day

MOTA Day includes free admission and activities at six museums located along the celebrated Arroyo Seco.  In addition to Pasadena Museum of History, you can visit the Autry’s historic Southwest Museum Mt. Washington Campus, Gamble House, Heritage Square Museum, Los Angeles Police Museum, and Lummis Home & Garden.

mota-postcard-2016sm-450x358At PMH, peek into the Fenyes Mansion and the Finnish Folk Art Museum; view our current exhibitions, Crossing the Atlantic Quilt by Quilt and Strings Attached; learn to weave at a free craft workshop and watch fiber artists demonstrating their craft.  In the garden, you can enjoy weavers and spinners from the Bobbinwinders Handweaving Guild, Inland Empire Handweaving Guild, The Tri-Community Weavers & Spinners, and the Saturday Spinners. The Giddings Room will feature a family weaving workshop using plate looms – fun for all ages! 

Need a break from all this activity? The Kona Ice Truck will be in the parking lot selling delicious and refreshing shaved ice treats.
